How to Get Licensing Updates the Moment They Are Issued
Table of Contents
If you keep finding out about a licensing change after everyone else has already heard, the fix is small: put your own email on Community Care Licensing’s list.
CCLD uses it to send Provider Information Notices (PINs), the Program Quarterly Update newsletter, and other department information. Everyone on the list gets it at the same time, which means you are reading the notice itself on the day it goes out, rather than a version of it passed along by somebody else.
How to subscribe
- Open the CCLD subscriptions page: cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/community-care-licensing/subscribe
- Enter your email address.
- Under Make your selection(s) below, tick Child Care.
- Click Subscribe.
That is the whole thing.
If you subscribed years ago, the form has changed
There used to be a selection labelled “Child Care Advocate Program.” It is no longer there. The current form offers Adult and Senior Care, Children’s Residential, Child Care, and two Administrator Certification Bureau options.
If you are not sure what you are signed up for, use the update your preferences link on that page. Do not use unsubscribe from this list — the page warns that it removes you from every CCLD mailing list, not just the one you were trying to change.
Subscription form checked 17 September 2026. The Chinese version of this post dates from 2020 and describes the older form.
